The National Scientific Research and Innovation Exhibition 2026, organized by Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education in collaboration with the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation (QRDI) Council, has come to a successful close.
This 18th edition took place at the Qatar National Convention Centre, themed “Promising Researchers for Qatar.” The exhibition attracted a diverse group of students, educators, and experts, spotlighting Qatar’s increasing commitment to scientific research and innovation.
A remarkable 2,971 students participated this year, showcasing 1,467 innovative scientific research projects from 249 schools. The event also engaged 672 educators, with 616 action research initiatives aimed at enhancing teaching practices showcased.
During the closing ceremony, officials from Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council commemorated the achievements of winning students, teachers, and partners across various competitions in primary, preparatory, and secondary education.
Additionally, the exhibition highlighted 10 student research projects developed in partnership with the Young Scientists Center, emphasizing the significance of collaboration between educational institutions and youthful innovators.
Officials commended the robust participation and the high caliber of projects displayed at the exhibition, underscoring the rising scientific awareness, creativity, and innovative capacity among Qatar’s youth, which in turn supports the nation’s educational and developmental objectives.
