The first wave of Qatari pilgrims has arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to undertake Hajj 2026, signaling the onset of this significant pilgrimage for thousands of worshippers from Qatar.
Initial flights touched down on Thursday after taking off from Hamad International Airport, courtesy of Qatar Airways and Saudia. Pilgrims, part of 18 sanctioned Hajj campaigns, are set to keep arriving at Jeddah airports until Sunday, 7 Dhu Al Hijjah.
The Qatari Hajj Affairs Department assured that comprehensive preparations were undertaken in collaboration with Saudi officials and the designated Qatari Hajj mission to facilitate a smooth experience for all pilgrims.
Authorities have put in place efficient airport services, expedited immigration processes, and organized baggage handling to ease the journey for the pilgrims. Dedicated teams from the Qatari Hajj mission are on standby at Saudi airports around the clock to assist with arrivals and supervise their transfer to accommodations in Makkah.
Officials noted that teams are also orchestrating direct luggage delivery to hotels, alleviating challenges for pilgrims and ensuring a pleasant beginning to their Hajj journey.
The collaborative efforts between Qatar and Saudi Arabia are designed to offer safe and seamless services to pilgrims attending one of the largest religious events worldwide.
