Actress Priyanka Chopra made a stunning appearance in Hyderabad at the eagerly awaited launch of her film, Varanasi. The event garnered significant media coverage, especially as the actress looked radiant in an exquisite ivory lehenga that resembled a princess. Both fans and fellow celebrities were quick to compliment her attire, while her husband, Nick Jonas, expressed his admiration through social media posts.

A Vision in White

Priyanka chose a custom ivory lehenga by the renowned designer Anamika Khanna. The ensemble was intricately embellished with ivory and gold crystals, sequins, and featured antique gold metallic embroidery at the hem. Her long braid added to the regal look that captured the appreciation of fashion enthusiasts.

Nick Jonas shared glimpses of Priyanka on his Instagram Stories, remarking on one photo, “Just wow. Breathtaking,” and another, “My Desi Girl.” He also celebrated the film's launch by posting a character poster featuring Mahesh Babu, sharing his excitement with, “Congrats to the whole team, this film is bound to be spectacular.” His posts quickly gained traction, with fans lauding both Priyanka's appearance and their affectionate public expressions.

Priyanka’s Comeback to Indian Cinema

The film marks Priyanka Chopra’s much-anticipated return to the Indian film scene after a six-year break. She will portray the role of Mandakini, recently teased by director SS Rajamouli in an eye-catching poster. Dressed in a saree and wielding a gun, her character hints at a dynamic and intense narrative. Rajamouli welcomed Priyanka back on social media, stating, “The woman who brought Indian cinema to a global audience. Welcome back, Desi Girl! @priyankachopra. Excited for the world to discover your diverse portrayal of MANDAKINI. #GlobeTrotter.”

Her role promises to blend elegance with power, showcasing Priyanka’s range as an actress. Fans are eager to see her tackle a character that merges glamour with action, further solidifying her status as a globally recognized star returning to the Indian film industry.

The film also features Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu as Rudhra, while the teaser unveiled on 15 November showcased him riding a bull through Varanasi's vibrant streets, giving fans a sneak peek into the film’s thrilling action and distinctive visual storytelling.

Prithviraj Sukumaran will play Kumbha, adding intensity to the on-screen dynamic. Additionally, Mahesh Babu will reportedly portray Lord Rama in a spectacular sequence that took 60 days to film due to its intricate craftsmanship.

Produced on a grand scale, Varanasi aims to resonate with both Indian and global viewers. Targeted for a worldwide release during Sankranthi 2027, the film is generating enormous buzz among fans of Telugu and Indian cinema. With Priyanka Chopra's comeback and Mahesh Babu's lead role, expectations for Varanasi are soaring.
