Post Malone Honors Zubeen Garg in Guwahati as Death Probe Raises Questions

Post by : Saif Nasser

Post Malone moved thousands of fans in Guwahati when he paid tribute to legendary Assamese singer Zubeen Garg during his concert on December 8. The emotional moment came at a time when questions around Zubeen Garg death are still under investigation, adding deep meaning to the tribute.

During the concert, Post Malone addressed the crowd and spoke warmly about the city and its musical legacy. He said he was honored to be in the home of a great legend and hoped everyone had an amazing night. The audience responded with loud cheers and applause. Videos of the moment quickly spread on social media, with many calling it respectful and heartfelt.

Zubeen Garg was one of the most loved music icons in Assam. His death in September 2025 shocked fans not only in Assam but across India. Official records initially said he died by drowning while swimming in sea waters near Singapore during a cultural trip. At first, the Singapore Police stated that there was no sign of foul play.

However, the case soon took a serious turn in India. The Assam Police formed a Special Investigation Team and launched a large investigation. More than 60 complaints were filed. Raids were carried out at the homes of festival organizers, managers, security staff, and close associates. The team also looked into financial transactions involving large sums of money.

A second post-mortem report done in Delhi reportedly found no traces of poison and supported drowning as the cause of death. Despite this, the Assam government has publicly said that the death was likely a murder and not an accident. Several arrests have already been made, including the festival organizer, the manager, security officers, band members, and even a close relative who is a police officer. A chargesheet is expected soon.

Amid all this tension and uncertainty, Post Malone tribute felt like a moment of respect and unity. It reminded people of the strong emotional bond between Zubeen Garg and the people of Assam. Fans felt proud that an international artist recognized their cultural icon on such a big stage.

The concert itself was historic for Guwahati. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma welcomed Post Malone to the city and said the event placed Guwahati on the world entertainment map. The tribute became a powerful symbol of global respect for regional art and artists.

This moment shows that music can connect hearts beyond borders. It also highlights the importance of truth and justice. While fans cherish the tribute, they also hope that the complete truth about Zubeen Garg death will come out soon.

As investigations continue, the tribute in Guwahati stands as a reminder that legends live on through their music, their people, and the respect they earn across the world.
