Paige Bueckers Discusses Her Beauty Secrets and Essentials for Game Day

Post by : Saif Nasser

Paige Bueckers, the renowned American basketball star from the Dallas Wings, recently opened up about her beauty regimen and personal style while off the court. In an in-depth interview with Forbes, she revealed that her formative years were devoid of significant exposure to beauty or makeup. Like many young athletes, her days were consumed by practice, school, and travel, leaving little room to discover beauty routines before her college days. It was only when she joined UConn that she began to grasp beauty basics for the first time.

Her partnership with Madison Reed marked a turning point, allowing her to participate in photoshoots, experiment with various looks, and even attend New York Fashion Week. These experiences unlocked a new realm for her—a world previously unexplored due to her tight schedule. Recognizing her identity beyond basketball, she found joy in engaging with aspects that boost her confidence and happiness.

One notable revelation for Paige was the time commitment required for beauty routines. Opting for simplicity amidst her hectic calendar, she streamlined her game-day essentials to just a wax stick, water, and serum to manage flyaways. After years of sporting double braids, which tugged at her hairline, she has transitioned to a slick-back bun—quick, straightforward, and comfortable, particularly before high-stakes games.

Moreover, Paige expressed her love for experimenting with hair color. Trying out various demi-permanent shades like Sparkling Rosé and Pink Orchid allows her to express creativity and enjoy her look, granting her a sense of freedom.

She hopes to encourage young girls to embrace their multifaceted identities, emphasizing that they need not confine themselves to a single role. Paige believes girls should feel empowered to explore sports, beauty, fashion, and anything else that brings them joy and strength. She asserts that they shouldn’t see themselves merely as “basketball players,” but as individuals capable of embodying many facets, enhancing their uniqueness.

Continuing to inspire both on and off the court, Paige Bueckers delivers a strong message to young girls: they should celebrate their true selves, experiment boldly, and wholeheartedly embrace the entirety of their identity.
