Inauguration of Arab Air Rifle and Pistol Championship in Muscat Tomorrow

Tomorrow marks the official inauguration of the Arab Championship for air rifle and pistol shooting in Muscat. This significant event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, underscores the vital role of sports development within the region.

Hosted by the Oman Shooting Federation, the championship is scheduled from December 20 to 25 at the National Olympic Shooting Complex. The facility has been meticulously prepared to comply with international standards, ensuring a safe and competitive setting for all contenders.

The tournament will feature a diverse group of 144 male and female shooters hailing from 14 Arab nations, competing in various disciplines. This level of participation reflects the increasing enthusiasm and advancement of shooting sports in the Arab region.

A primary goal of the championship is to enhance Arab sports collaboration, fostering interaction and skills exchange among athletes across different nations. It serves as a valuable opportunity for shooters to learn from one another and establish professional networks.
