Ohio Professor Accused of Killing Wife Amid $15,000 Sextortion Scheme

In a distressing turn of events, 76-year-old retired Ohio State University professor James Hill has been charged with the murder of his 64-year-old wife, Mary Kathleen Hill. This tragic incident is allegedly tied to a $15,000 online sextortion scam, shedding light on the escalating dangers posed by digital blackmail.

Police investigations reveal that Hill was manipulated by an unidentified woman he encountered on a dating app. The woman reportedly demanded $15,000 in Apple gift cards, coercing him with threats to share his private images if he did not comply. On the day of the incident, Hill stabbed Mary in the chest using a kitchen knife. Witness accounts and police documentation state that he expressed remorse to her as she passed away.
