UK-based consumer electronics firm Nothing has expanded its Phone 3a family with the Phone 3a Lite, positioned as a more affordable complement to the Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro models. The handset is rolling out in selected international markets; the company has not yet revealed a launch date for India.
The Phone 3a Lite features a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution (1080x2392 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate and a claimed HDR peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Under the hood sits MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Pro processor — the same chip used in the CMF Phone 2 Pro — paired with 8GB of RAM and storage options up to 256GB.
Imaging is handled by a triple rear camera array led by a 50MP main sensor, supported by an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro unit; a 16MP front shooter serves selfies and video calls. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging and carries an IP54 rating for basic dust and water resistance.
Design continues to be a focal point for Nothing. The Phone 3a Lite adopts a streamlined rear layout with a new single Glyph Light replacing the multi-LED strips of earlier models. Despite the simplified look, the Glyph retains utility functions such as call alerts, notification cues and camera countdown indicators.
Software comes via NothingOS 3.5 based on Android 15 and introduces several AI-driven conveniences. Notable features include Essential Space accessed through a new Essential Key for natural language search across notes and media, Smart Drawer for automatic app organization, Private Space for data isolation and an App Locker for additional privacy controls.
Nothing has committed to three years of Android platform updates and six years of security patches for the Phone 3a Lite, with the Android 16-based NothingOS 4 update expected in early 2026.
With its minimalist styling, practical AI features and mid-range hardware, the Phone 3a Lite reinforces Nothing’s strategy to offer distinctive, competitively priced smartphones in the mid-tier segment.
