Noatum Maritime, operating within AD Ports Group’s Maritime & Shipping Cluster, has secured a five-year agreement with Bapco Upstream to deliver comprehensive marine services at the Bahrain LNG Import Terminal (BLNG). The award represents a strategic advancement for Bahrain’s maritime and energy infrastructure.
The BLNG facility, positioned adjacent to Khalifa Bin Salman Port, is central to Bahrain’s effort to expand access to clean natural gas. Under the contract, Noatum Maritime will provide LNG-compliant towage, manage berthing and unberthing of LNG carriers and Floating Storage Units (FSUs), and maintain continuous emergency response and standby capabilities. Services will be carried out by specialist pilots and trained crews to uphold rigorous safety and operational standards.
This engagement reflects Noatum Maritime’s deliberate move to broaden its footprint in the Kingdom beyond conventional port services. The company expects the terminal assignment to generate operational synergies and support its wider regional growth strategy.
For Bahrain, the partnership secures experienced marine operations support for LNG imports, reinforcing national energy resilience and advancing the country’s transition objectives.
