Nidhhi Agerwal's Fans Create Chaos: Authorities Investigate Mall Organizers

Post by : Mina Rahman

After actor Nidhhi Agerwal was surrounded by an overwhelming crowd during the launch of her song from the upcoming film The Raja Saab, officials have interrogated mall management and event coordinators. The incident gained traction as videos depicting the tumultuous scene circulated widely on social media.

Investigators are looking into the lack of necessary permissions for the event, along with deficiencies in crowd control and security setups. The police initiated a sua sponte investigation after becoming aware of the viral footage. Sources indicate Agerwal opted not to file a formal complaint, which led the authorities to act autonomously.

Initial assessments suggest that the chaos erupted as Agerwal was departing. As she attempted to greet a fan at the exit, the crowd surged forward, resulting in her being jostled while security struggled to manage the situation.

Legal action has been initiated against the mall's management and the event organizer under Sections 223 (disobedience of an order by a public servant) and 292 (public nuisance) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Authorities are examining CCTV footage to pinpoint those responsible and evaluate the effectiveness of the event's safety measures. Further questioning of the implicated parties is anticipated as investigators explore potential additional security oversights.

This incident has ignited a broader conversation regarding safety regulations at celebrity appearances and the obligations of organizers to avert crowd-related mishaps.
