Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed profound condolences to the people of India following the tragic explosion near Delhi's Red Fort, which resulted in nine fatalities and wounded 20 others. In a message shared on X, he underscored the common fight against terror faced by both India and Israel, emphasizing their unwavering fortitude.
Netanyahu stated, “To my dear friend Narendra Modi and the courageous people of India: Sara and I, along with the citizens of Israel, send our sincerest condolences to the bereaved families. In this moment of grief, Israel stands steadfast with you, sharing both sorrow and strength.”
He continued, “India and Israel, ancient civilizations rooted in timeless values, will remain unshaken by acts of terror. While terror may strike our cities, it will never disturb our spirits. The light of our nations will triumph over the shadows cast by our adversaries.”
The tragedy has been linked to the terror organization Jaish-e-Mohammed, which reportedly orchestrated the attack after months of planning, targeting multiple locations in Delhi and surrounding areas, such as Gurugram and Faridabad. Among those arrested are three doctors—Shaheen Saeed, Muzammil Shakeel Ganale, and Adeel Rather—while Dr. Umar Nabi is believed to have been the suicide bomber.
Following Netanyahu’s remarks, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar also reached out with condolences, wishing a swift recovery for those injured and reaffirming Israel’s commitment to supporting India in its battle against terrorism.
Israeli Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, labeled the incident as “heart-wrenching,” commending the efforts of emergency responders and law enforcement. “Heart-wrenching scenes in Delhi after the car explosion, leading to numerous victims. Our heartfelt condolences to the families of those affected, and we wish a quick recovery to survivors. We commend the bravery of rescue and security personnel,” he shared on X.
This display of solidarity from Israel not only highlights their strong diplomatic rapport but also the mutual security concerns between the nations, presenting a unified stance against global terrorism.
