Elon Musk and former U.S. President Donald Trump seem to have mended fences following earlier disputes. This reconciliation unfolded during a White House dinner that included Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, where the focus was on business initiatives and investment opportunities.
During the dinner, Trump lauded Musk, exclaiming, "You are so lucky I am with you, Elon," as he highlighted new tax perks for domestic vehicles. Musk then took to X to express his gratitude, stating, "I would like to thank President Trump for all he has done for America and the world," and posting images with Trump, the Crown Prince, and NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang.
This gathering follows Musk's brief tenure as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from January to May. Trump announced Musk's departure when his government contract concluded, after which Musk voiced his discontent with some of Trump's budget proposals, dubbing the spending plan the "Big Beautiful Bill."
Now, Musk's supporters are orchestrating a significant reunion celebration in Austin to honor his collaboration with Trump. Many former DOGE staff are anticipated to attend, and Musk is likely to participate in this two-day event, set at a luxurious hotel he frequents, organized by DOGE leaders.
This celebration marks a significant public reconciliation between Musk and Trump, underscoring Musk's enduring impact within both business and political spheres.
