Post by : Mara Rahim

Kicking off on 1 January and running through to 31 January, Muscat Nights 2026 promises a diverse agenda filled with culture, sports, entertainment, and economic events throughout the Muscat Governorate. This season aims to present a complete urban experience, catering to families and visitors from across the region.

The festivities will unfold in various venues, from Al Qurum Natural Park and Al Amerat Public Park to the Oman Automobile Association and the Royal Opera House Muscat. Attendees can immerse themselves in the celebrations across different backdrops and atmospheres.

Central to Muscat Nights 2026 is “Siraj,” an illuminating Omani character who soars above Muscat. Representing the event's narrative and visual focus, Siraj is set to captivate both families and children visiting from all corners, both within and outside Oman.

Al Qurum Natural Park will showcase a stunning fountain and light spectacle that merges art with technology, featuring mesmerizing water displays synchronized to musical compositions. Visitors can enjoy daily circus performances at the Oman Automobile Association, which will include acrobatic feats, aerial shows, holographic displays, and interactive children’s activities like art sessions and educational games.

Family-oriented fun will encompass drone displays at Al Qurum, “Masha and the Bear” interactions, amusement rides, parades each day, and live performances from both local and international artists. Sporting events will feature cycling, football, volleyball, basketball, martial arts, as well as adventurous pursuits such as drifting, zip-lining, and exercise classes at A’Seeb Beach.

Muscat Nights 2026 will also celebrate Omani heritage through traditional villages located at Al Amerat and Al Qurum, showcasing crafts, folk arts, culinary delights, and architecture. Al Khuwair Square will be the venue for Oman Design Week with unique artistic installations, while the Royal Opera House is set to host fashion week events that feature global designers merging creativity with cultural identity.
