Mona Singh Shares Hilarious Encounter with Shah Rukh Khan

Post by : Mina Rahman

In a delightful reveal, actress Mona Singh, who takes on the role of Neeta Singh in The Ba**ds of Bollywood, shared a light-hearted behind-the-scenes anecdote from the web series. While filming the revamped version of the classic 1997 track 'Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela' from Gupt, Mona faced an unexpected challenge when Shah Rukh Khan visited the set. He was there to cheer for his son Aryan Khan, making his directorial debut with the series, but Mona became quite flustered performing in his presence.

She recounted how Shah Rukh occasionally dropped by, yet during her dance shoot, she felt overly self-conscious. “Sir, you can't be here! I can't do this in front of you,” she humorously insisted. Shah Rukh chuckled and gently urged her to remain professional, but Mona remained firm, leading to a playful back-and-forth between them.

The recreated sequence attracted considerable attention following the series' debut. In this version, Mona's face is digitally placed onto one of the dancers in the original video featuring Bobby Deol. Her social media was soon inundated with memes and reactions as fans revisited the iconic tune. Her team even encouraged her to capitalize on the trend, and she described the overwhelming response she received.

This song not only entertains but also plays a crucial role in the plot, enhancing the connection between Neeta and Ajay Talvar, portrayed by Bobby Deol. The tension heightens when Aasman Singh discovers he is the illegitimate son of Neeta and Ajay, adding depth to the song's inclusion.

The Ba**ds of Bollywood represents Aryan Khan’s debut as a director and boasts a talented cast including Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Aanya Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Manoj Pahwa, Gautami Kapoor, Vijayant Kohli, and Rajat Bedi. This seven-episode series is currently streaming, earning accolades for its performances, storytelling, and charming behind-the-scenes tales like the one shared by Mona.
