Mel Gibson and Rosalind Ross Announce Their Separation After Nearly Ten Years

Post by : Mina Rahman

Mel Gibson and Rosalind Ross have made it public that they parted ways approximately a year ago, deciding to prioritize privacy until now. The couple, who began their relationship in 2014, released a joint statement to share this news while reiterating their dedication to co-parenting their 8-year-old son, Lars. Even as they choose different paths, their focus remains on creating a supportive atmosphere for their child.

In their sincere message, they remarked, “Though closing this chapter is challenging, we are thankful for our wonderful son and committed to being the best parents possible.” This sentiment illustrates the respect and understanding they still hold for each other post-separation. They clearly indicated that ensuring Lars feels cherished and secure is their primary goal as they adapt to this new family structure.

Mel Gibson, 69, is well-known as a distinguished actor, director, and producer in Hollywood. His influence on the film industry includes celebrated works such as Braveheart, which earned him the Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture in 1996, as well as The Patriot and Blood Father. Gibson is a father of seven, stemming from his former marriage to Robyn Moore, which lasted from 1980 until their divorce in 2011. He is also the father of a 16-year-old daughter with songwriter Oksana Grigorieva.

Rosalind Ross, 35, has made her mark as a film director and was a former equestrian vaulter. Although Gibson and Ross never tied the knot, they enjoyed a strong partnership over the years. As they navigate their new lives independently, both are committed to co-parenting their son and cultivating a positive and loving environment. Their unwavering focus on ensuring Lars’ wellbeing is a testament to their shared values as they embark on this new journey.
