Mawhiba Honored with Prestigious Arab Award for Education Development

The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, commonly referred to as Mawhiba, has been awarded the Arab Government Excellence Award 2025 in the category of the best Arab initiative for educational development. This notable achievement was declared during the fourth edition of the award, organized by the Arab Administrative Development Organization in partnership with the Emirati government at the Arab League. Mawhiba was represented at the event by Vice Secretary General for Shared Services, Tarik Ismail.

Expressing his pride in this recognition, Mawhiba Secretary General Abdulaziz Alkaridis remarked that the honor reflects Saudi Arabia's determined vision to empower gifted and talented youths. He emphasized that this accolade underscores the Kingdom’s increasing influence in fostering scientific excellence and cultivating an innovative educational landscape. Per Alkaridis, the initiatives of the foundation resonate with the objectives laid out in Saudi Vision 2030, which aims at nurturing talent, igniting creativity, and facilitating national development.

He further noted that this accolade will drive the foundation to enhance and expand its programs locally, regionally, and internationally. Mawhiba has consistently aimed to identify and nurture exceptional youth, providing programs and opportunities that bolster their academic and creative growth. This award reinforces Mawhiba’s status as a leading institution in improving educational frameworks across the Arab nations.

The Arab Government Excellence Award is recognized as one of the most prestigious awards in the region, particularly in the realm of public service. Its mission is to inspire advancement in Arab governmental systems through the integration of global best practices. The award honors successful initiatives, celebrates extraordinary Arab talent, and fosters modern leadership paradigms.
