Manika Vishwakarma Redefines Womanhood at Miss Universe 2025

Post by : Mina Rahman

Miss Universe India 2025, Manika Vishwakarma, is captivating audiences at the ongoing Miss Universe pageant in Thailand with her poise, confidence, and articulate communication. While her stunning fashion choices have garnered attention, it’s her insightful responses during the interview segments that are winning admiration.

On November 16, during a unique “chain reaction question session,” she addressed the same memorable question posed to India’s Sushmita Sen during the Miss Universe 1994 finale: “What is the essence of being a woman?” Acknowledging Sushmita’s iconic answer, Manika praised its elegance and honesty, highlighting how Sushmita articulated the woman’s unique capacity to nurture life.

Expanding on that timeless message, Manika offered a modern and profound interpretation. She articulated that while women inherently possess the extraordinary ability to create and nurture, they should transcend societal limitations. She stressed that true womanhood involves elevating and beautifying the world, and described it as an “infinite” quality that distinguishes women.

In addition to her impactful words, Manika made a striking visual impression at one event in an exquisite Indian attire by designer Rajdeep Ranawat. Her ensemble featured a rich black and navy lehenga paired with a gold-silver mirror-work choli, complemented by an elegantly embroidered navy jacket adorned with floral motifs and intricate mirror details, exuding a regal yet contemporary vibe.

Through her grace, articulate perspectives, and genuine presence, Manika Vishwakarma is bolstering India’s representation at Miss Universe 2025. Her fresh interpretation of a classic pageant question has resonated with audiences globally, demonstrating her blend of depth, cultural pride, and self-assurance.
