Television personalities Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali have made their separation public, marking the conclusion of their 14-year marriage. Issuing a joint statement via social media, they requested privacy while underscoring that their breakup was amicable and devoid of negativity.
In their communication, both Mahhi and Jay highlighted that there’s no blame or resentment tied to their decision. They pointed out that the choice was made in the spirit of personal development and emotional health, affirming that respect and kindness continue to guide their relationship.
This announcement followed months of speculation about their marriage's status. Shortly thereafter, Mahhi’s Instagram Stories gained traction, with many interpreting her reflective messages as indirect comments about Jay. These posts touched on themes of kindness, expectations, and gratitude towards those who cherish her children, sparking considerable online dialogue.
Yet, Mahhi swiftly addressed the misconceptions. She posted a photo with Jay and strongly condemned the narratives emerging around her posts. She clarified that her statements were not directed at her ex-husband and accused parts of the media of distorting her words for sensationalism.
The couple assured that their children remain their utmost priority. While they pursue independent paths, Mahhi and Jay committed to co-parenting their three kids—Tara, Khushi, and Rajveer—while nurturing a collaborative and friendly relationship.
Married since 2011, Mahhi and Jay embraced parenthood with the adoption of daughters Khushi and Rajveer in 2017 and the birth of their biological daughter Tara in 2019. Professionally, Mahhi recently returned to television after nearly a decade, while Jay continues to thrive as a popular reality show host.
Their composed and transparent announcement has garnered attention, contrasting sharply with the common drama and speculation often associated with celebrity separations.
