Post by : Raina Nasser

Madhuri Dixit, a renowned figure in Indian cinema, recently shared her touching love story with her husband, Dr. Shriram Nene, providing a glimpse into the depth of their relationship. During a popular podcast interview with Ranveer Allahabadia, Madhuri disclosed that despite friends attempting to introduce her to suitors, her dedication to her career kept her cautious about finding the right partner. She stated, “My friends would always try to set me up but I loved my career. I thought if I find the wrong man, all the fun of my life would be gone. I never envisioned a fairy tale,” revealing her practical view on love.

Upon meeting Dr. Shriram Nene, Madhuri felt an immediate and authentic connection. Since tying the knot on October 17, 1999, the pair has balanced their lives as successful professionals and devoted parents to their two sons, Arin and Ryan. The actress credited the core of their relationship to mutual respect, support, and positivity, describing their bond as a unique blend of creativity and intellect. “I feel fortunate to have met such a romantic guy. Mutual respect and encouragement pave the way for deeper feelings. Our partnership is a wonderful blend of art and science,” she noted.

Madhuri recounted how Dr. Nene supported her artistic endeavors, particularly during the COVID lockdown when he assisted her in creating her music video, Candle, even picking up camera skills to ensure its success. Praising his attributes, Madhuri shared, “He is intelligent, caring, and has an incredible bedside manner with his patients. My husband, as a blessing, enriches my life more than my career ever could.”

Their love story unfolded organically, as Madhuri mentioned that even though they were introduced by her brother, they dated for six months before getting married. The couple established a family life in the United States before returning to Mumbai in 2011, where Madhuri resumed her film career. Their journey illustrates a strong partnership grounded in trust and shared values.

On the horizon, Madhuri is set to star in the psychological thriller series Mrs Deshpande, directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, where she plays a serial killer enlisted to assist the police in capturing a copycat criminal. This Indian adaptation of the French thriller La Mante will premiere on JioHotstar on December 19, 2025, signaling an exciting new chapter in her illustrious career.

Through her interview, Madhuri Dixit not only highlighted her loving marriage but also underscored the significance of finding a compatible partner, emphasizing that true love can naturally coexist alongside a flourishing career.
