Oman and Tunisia Strengthen Economic Ties during Recent Meeting

In a significant meeting at Carthage Palace, President Kais Saied of Tunisia welcomed Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion. Al Yousef is in Tunisia for the Omani-Tunisian Economic Forum, which aims to foster increased collaboration between the two countries. During their discussions, the Minister conveyed the warm greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, expressing wishes for the Tunisian President’s health and success. His Majesty also extended his best wishes for the continued prosperity of Tunisia.

President Saied reciprocated the friendly sentiments and requested the Minister to extend his greetings to Sultan Haitham. He further wished for the ongoing development of Oman. Both leaders acknowledged the critical need to fortify economic partnerships across various sectors. They deliberated on implementing joint initiatives to enhance trade flow, broaden investment prospects, and deepen economic ties between Oman and Tunisia.

The dialogue concentrated on enhancing investment collaboration, advancing industrial partnerships, and identifying new avenues for trade expansion. Attendees included Dr. Hilal Abdullah Al Sinani, Oman’s Ambassador to Tunisia, and Rashid Amer Al Muselhi, First Deputy Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Board. Their discussions highlighted a shared commitment to cultivating a robust and sustainable relationship that promotes long-term regional growth and mutual benefits for both nations.
