Lava has launched the Shark 2 4G, a budget-focused smartphone priced at Rs 6,999 that targets durability and everyday performance. The handset features a 6.75-inch HD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, aiming to deliver smoother on-screen motion than many entry-level rivals.
The device runs on an octa-core UNISOC T7250 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Users can expand capacity using a microSD card, providing flexibility for apps and media.
Camera and Display
For imaging, the Shark 2 4G is equipped with a 50MP AI-assisted rear camera intended to improve detail and colour reproduction in mixed lighting. A notch-mounted 8MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
Battery and Durability
Power comes from a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging via USB-C, though the bundled charger is rated at 10W. The handset carries an IP54 rating, offering protection against dust and light water splashes suitable for daily use.
Other Features
Additional specifications include dual 4G SIM support, Auto Call Recording and Android 15 as the operating system. Lava promises one OS upgrade and two years of security updates. The Shark 2 4G will be sold in Eclipse Grey and Aurora Gold at select retail outlets later this month.
At its price point, the Shark 2 4G seeks to combine a large screen, a strong main camera and robust battery life, positioning itself as a practical option for value-conscious buyers prioritising basic durability and everyday functionality.
