Kim Kardashian’s All’s Fair Draws Critical Fire and Low Scores

Kim Kardashian’s All’s Fair Draws Critical Fire and Low Scores

Post by : Mina Rahman

Kim Kardashian’s latest scripted effort, the legal drama All’s Fair, met a wave of negative reviews after its November 4 debut on the streaming service.

Created by Ryan Murphy, Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken, the series follows a group of female divorce lawyers who establish a practice in Los Angeles. The ensemble includes Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, Niecy Nash, Naomi Watts and Teyana Taylor alongside Kardashian.

Early critical aggregation gave the show a meagre 6% on Rotten Tomatoes from 18 reviews, reflecting broad disappointment. Several critics dismissed the tone as overwrought—more focused on visual excess than narrative clarity—and suggested Murphy’s once-sharp signature had lost force. Reviewers also singled out Kardashian’s acting as flat and emotionally limited, arguing the production often resembles a runway for couture rather than a cohesive drama. Others described the lead’s performance as wooden and faulted the scripts for failing to supply authentic character moments.

Audience reaction on social platforms largely mirrored critical sentiment, with many users questioning the writing and character depth and debating Kardashian’s suitability for a leading dramatic role. Some posts called the series poorly written and the performances uninspired, while a segment of viewers embraced its camp value, praising the show as diverting, glossy entertainment despite its flaws.

All’s Fair represents Kardashian’s second project with Murphy after her role in American Horror Story Season 12: Delicate. The premiere highlights the difficulties that can accompany a transition from reality television icon to scripted drama lead, even within a high-profile creative team.

Although the series may attract viewers drawn to its glamorous cast and heightened tone, the prevailing critical view points to weakness in storytelling, character development and acting. Whether wider audiences will counter that verdict remains to be seen.
