Entrepreneur and reality TV star Kim Kardashian has opened up about her legal ambitions, disclosing that she did not succeed in passing the California Bar Exam. Nonetheless, the founder of SKIMS remains committed to her goal of becoming an attorney.
In a post on Instagram, Kim remarked, "Though I’m not a lawyer yet, I excel at portraying one on television." Reflecting on her lengthy six-year journey toward her legal ambitions, she affirmed, "Six years into this law journey, I’m completely dedicated until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, only hard work and increased determination ahead."
Kim expressed her appreciation to her supporters, noting that setbacks do not signify failure. "A big thank you to everyone who has been there for me. Not passing isn’t the end—it’s motivation. I came so close to passing and that drives me even more. Let’s go!"
Her journey into law began in 2018 when she chose to pursue an apprenticeship with a law firm in San Francisco—one of the alternative pathways available in California and a few other states. In 2021, she passed the baby bar exam, officially known as the First-Year Law Student’s Examination, after four attempts.
Kim has actively shared her progress with her followers. Upon passing the baby bar, she joyously announced on X (formerly Twitter), "OMG, I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!!" Describing the achievement as a significant personal milestone, she acknowledged the difficulties of her unique path to law. "Looking in the mirror, I’m proud of the woman I see. For those unaware of my journey, this path wasn’t a walk in the park," she wrote.
The reality star underlined both the skepticism and guidance she encountered along the way, with many esteemed lawyers deeming her path nearly unachievable. Nevertheless, she stayed committed, branding it as her sole viable route. "It feels absolutely fantastic to be making strides toward my goals," she stated.
Kim Kardashian's narrative continues to motivate many, illustrating resilience and commitment as she encounters hurdles on her atypical journey to becoming a fully licensed attorney.
