Kim Chiu Initiates Theft Case Against Sister Following Business Dispute

Post by : Mina Rahman

In a significant legal move, actress Kim Chiu has lodged a qualified theft complaint against her sister, Lakambini Chiu, after discovering substantial financial discrepancies in their shared business venture.

On December 2, Kim visited the Quezon City prosecutor’s office with her legal team to submit the official complaint. Photos from the event show her making a sworn statement at the Department of Justice.

Kim expressed that deciding to pursue this case was one of her most challenging moments. After months of thorough investigation, she determined that this action was essential to protect her business and the financial wellbeing of the employees involved.

Her legal team has yet to disclose specific details about the complaint or the business in question.

Earlier this year, tensions between the sisters became visible, leading fans to notice they had unfollowed each other on social media amid speculation regarding business conflicts. Notably, in 2023, Lakambini publicly acknowledged Kim’s support during a personal health issue, indicating their once close relationship.
