Janhvi Kapoor Opts for Gujarati-Patterned Blue Lehenga at Friend’s Wedding

Post by : Saif Nasser

Actor Janhvi Kapoor, frequently noted for her polished sartorial choices, attended a close friend’s wedding in a striking blue lehenga featuring Gujarati motifs. The ensemble, created by designer Jigya Patel, was crafted from a silk-blend fabric that lent the outfit a refined, traditional sheen.

The attire blended Parsi-style embroidery with patola-inspired motifs, and Janhvi arranged her dupatta in a classic Gujarati drape that complemented the skirt’s detailing. A multi-hued stone choker served as the central jewellery piece, contrasting with the deep blue of the fabric.

Among the accessories that drew attention was a silver box handbag: the Agira Silver Box Purse by Surabhi Didwania, an antique-style piece reportedly priced at ₹2,86,300. The actor completed her look with a long plait threaded with small silver charms, reinforcing the outfit’s traditional undertones.

Images she shared on Instagram attracted widespread praise. Many followers compared her likeness to her late mother, Sridevi, with comments such as, “You look just like your mother,” and “So beautiful.” Her friend Orry also reacted, describing the appearance as “Best of the best.”

Close inspection of the lehenga reveals fine touches like floral-bordered hems and tasselled sleeves that enhance its vibrancy. Her jewellery choices consisted of rings, bracelets, earrings and the prominent choker, all echoing an antique, boho sensibility.

This appearance follows another recent traditional look: a lime-yellow lehenga Janhvi wore to her sister Anshula Kapoor’s engagement, which she paired with layered silver adornments. Together, these outfits underscore how she melds cultural craftsmanship with contemporary styling.
