Italy-UAE Trade Strengthens as Italian Shipments Rise 18% in 2025

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

Trade ties between the United Arab Emirates and Italy have intensified, showing significant expansion and closer cooperation across energy, technology and sustainability fields.

At the 2025 Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), Italy highlighted the deepening partnership with the UAE. Italian exports to the UAE increased by 18 percent this year, while exports of oil and gas technologies surged by more than 45 percent.

These figures reflect a shift from conventional trade patterns toward a collaborative agenda for innovation and the green transition. Italy's industrial capabilities combined with the UAE’s strategic economic planning are driving opportunities in renewables, green hydrogen and low-carbon solutions.

Italy’s visible role at ADIPEC signalled a strategic outlook as well as commercial interest. The UAE’s standing as a global logistics and investment hub is drawing Italian firms aiming to access growth markets in Africa and Southeast Asia, and Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements have reinforced the UAE’s appeal as a gateway for international business.

With a shared focus on sustainable development and technological progress, the two countries are building a deeper, longer-term partnership. The momentum recorded in 2025 points to the start of a sustained alliance rooted in innovation, mutual trust and economic opportunity.
