A standout feature of GPT-5.1 is the rollout of new conversational styles: Professional, Candid, and Quirky, supplementing the existing options like Friendly, Efficient, Cynical, and Nerdy. Initially, GPT-5.1 is rolling out to subscribers of paid ChatGPT, with a wider release anticipated after an exclusive three-month period. OpenAI reiterated that the introduction of GPT-5.1 will not affect accessibility to earlier models, and an update for GPT-5 Pro is also in the works.
