The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup starts this Sunday in the United States. The opening match will take place in Miami, where Inter Miami will play against Al Ahly, a club from Egypt. The game will be held at the famous Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

This year’s tournament is special because it has been expanded to include 32 teams. This is the 21st edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, and it promises exciting football, with 63 matches happening over 29 days. For the first time, Inter Miami is part of this competition, and it’s thanks to their star player, Lionel Messi, who is well known around the world. On the other hand, Al Ahly is entering the tournament as the most successful African club and is looking to show their strength on the world stage.

The teams in this year’s tournament come from the best clubs in their regions. These teams have won the top competitions in their continents from 2021 to 2024. The 32 teams come from all over the world, all hoping to win the title and be crowned the best club in the world for the next four years.

The matches will take place in 12 different cities across the United States, including Miami Gardens. The tournament will run from June 14 to July 13.

Five teams from the Middle East and North Africa will be competing in this year’s FIFA Club World Cup. These teams are: Al Ahly (Egypt), Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Al Ain (United Arab Emirates), Wydad AC (Morocco), and Espérance Sportive de Tunis (Tunisia). This shows that clubs from the Arab world are becoming stronger on the global football scene.

Europe has the largest number of teams in the tournament, with 12 clubs. South America has six clubs, and there are four teams from Africa, Asia, and North America. There is also one club from Oceania, and two teams from the U.S. – Inter Miami and Los Angeles FC.

A total of 117 referees from 41 different countries will be officiating the matches. This is the largest team of referees ever assembled for a global club tournament.

In total, 63 matches will be played across the United States, and the final will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 13.

In the last FIFA Club World Cup in 2023, Manchester City from England won the title. The most successful team in the tournament’s history is Real Madrid from Spain, with five wins.
