On Thursday morning, a significant train collision in southern Czech Republic resulted in injuries to 42 individuals. An express train collided with a passenger train in the vicinity of Ceske Budejovice, approximately 150 kilometers south of Prague.

The incident occurred around 05:19 GMT, prompting prompt response from emergency services who evacuated all passengers from both trains. Officials reported that while 40 suffered minor injuries, two individuals sustained serious injuries.

Rescue units, including ambulances and firefighting services, swiftly secured the scene and provided medical aid. Rail operator representatives confirmed that all passengers were successfully evacuated, although the cause of the accident is still being investigated.
