The highly anticipated 17th edition of the India Art Fair is set to return to New Delhi from February 5 to 8, 2026, boasting an impressive lineup of 123 exhibitors. This event promises to be larger and more diverse than ever, featuring key galleries from India and around the globe. Internationally recognized participants include David Zwirner, Galleria Continua, neugerriemschneider, and Carpenters Workshop Gallery.
Hosted at the NSIC Exhibition Grounds, the fair will include 87 galleries, along with 24 major art institutions and an expanded Design section featuring 12 design studios and two galleries—a testament to the fair’s growth and international appeal.
Leading Indian galleries such as Gallery Espace, Latitude 28, Exhibit 320, DAG, Emami Art, Jhavery Contemporary, Project 88, and Lakeeren Contemporary will showcase their remarkable modern and rare works. The international contributions will include pieces from notable artists showcased by 1x1 Art Gallery, Aicon Contemporary, Saskia Fernando Gallery, Grosvenor Gallery, Whitestone Gallery, and Danfe Arts.
Jaya Asokan, Fair Director, remarked, “The 17th edition marks a major moment for us. With the largest number of exhibitors and a global lineup, India Art Fair continues to be the vital gathering point for the international art community in South Asia.”
The Design section, now in its third year, will highlight innovative creations from studios such as Ashiesh Shah, Aspura, Chanakya School of Craft, DeMuro Das, Gunjan Gupta, ROOSHADSHROFF, Studio Renn, and Vikram Goyal. Additionally, a special collaboration between the French Institute and Mumbai-based gallery Æquō will see French designer Marie Gastini explore Indian textile techniques through contemporary design.
Within the Focus section, audiences can expect solo exhibitions from notable artists, including Bharti Kher, Jayasri Burman, Shailesh B R, Ravinder Reddy, Girjesh Kumar Singh, Thandiwe Muriu, and Khadim Ali.
Highlighting outdoor projects and collaborations will be Kulpreet Singh’s site-specific installations, commissioned by the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art. Additionally, world-renowned artist Judy Chicago will lead a participatory project titled “What If Women Ruled the World? Participatory Quilt,” which invites audience engagement and dialogue.
Serendipity Arts will present “The Charpai Project” by Ayush Kasliwal, which incorporates a digital AI dimension by artist Goji. Various institutions such as the Sabyasachi Art Foundation, MASH, Museum of Art & Photography, The Gujral Foundation, and the Birla Academy of Art & Culture will feature special exhibitions spotlighting emerging talents like Deena Pindoria, Ritika Sharma, Akshay Bhoan, and Mohit Shelare. Notably, the Australian High Commission will present indigenous artist Grace Lillian Lee’s sculptures, while Serendipity Arts will unveil an immersive audio-visual installation by Alan Rego.
The 17th India Art Fair, with its record number of exhibitors and varied exhibitions, is poised to be a significant event in contemporary art, design, and cultural interplay in India, inviting art enthusiasts, collectors, and the general public to engage with unique artworks and innovative ideas from both local and international creators.
