GCC Unified Campaign for Pension Awareness Kicks Off

GCC Unified Campaign for Pension Awareness Kicks Off

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

GCC member states have initiated a cooperative awareness drive called “Insurance Protection... Under a GCC Umbrella” aimed at enhancing understanding of pension rights among citizens. This campaign signifies a commitment to stronger regional cohesion.

Targeting GCC nationals employed outside their home country within the Gulf, the initiative focuses on educating them about their pension rights and accessing benefits from the Unified Extension Protection System (UEPS), designed to ensure ongoing social security across GCC territories.

Launching concurrently across all member nations, the campaign promotes workforce mobility and the seamless continuation of pension contributions and benefits for employees shifting between GCC states.

The Unified System serves as a vital safeguard, securing employees' years of service and contributions, thereby fostering long-term financial safety and social welfare throughout the region.

Through this campaign, the GCC pension bodies seek to elevate understanding around essential topics, such as worker insurance benefits, employer and employee legal responsibilities, and guidelines for pension contributions.

Targeting governmental and private sector employers, GCC nationals throughout the region, and various media outlets, the campaign aims to maximize awareness and engagement.

To effectively convey the message, the initiative will leverage digital platforms, traditional media outlets, and pension authorities' official social media, coupled with interactive workshops to actively involve the public.

All official communication channels are set to assist with public inquiries, ensuring a better grasp of the system and advancing the objectives of this unified GCC effort.
