FROMM and SPARK Unite at Milan Design Week to Elevate Design Talent

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

FROMM., an innovative design platform rooted in Msheireb (Doha) and Milan (Italy), has forged a new alliance with the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SPARK) during Milan Design Week 2026.

This agreement follows a productive visit by a SPARK delegation to Milan, where they immersed themselves in FROMM.’s diverse activities across the metropolis. The visit included attending various exhibitions and engaging in cross-cultural design initiatives that bridge the creative communities of Msheireb and Milan.

Under this collaboration, FROMM.Lab, the education and talent growth wing of FROMM., will partner with SPARK to launch a dedicated programme centered on furniture design. The initiative aims to foster new talent, stimulate collaborative creativity, and expand opportunities within the regional design landscape.

Hussain Al Mahmoudi, SPARK’s CEO, emphasized that this partnership is in line with SPARK’s mission to position Sharjah as a primary hub for creative industries and design innovation. He underscored the importance of BASE39, SPARK’s creative ecosystem, in linking talent with global industry networks.

He also stated that the collaboration with FROMM. and FROMM.Lab will equip regional designers with international exposure and facilitate the infusion of global creative concepts back into Sharjah.
