Etihad Airways Achieves Over 25 Prestigious Global Awards in 2025

Post by : Mina Rahman

Etihad Airways has concluded an outstanding year in 2025 by garnering over 25 renowned international awards, solidifying its status as one of the premier airlines worldwide. These honors encompass sectors such as safety, customer satisfaction, cabin design, onboard dining, operational excellence, and cargo services, showcasing the airline’s robust performance amid a year of substantial growth and innovation.

A key moment of the year was when Etihad achieved the Seven-Star Plus Safety Rating from Airline Ratings, making it only the fourth airline globally and the first in the Middle East to reach this pinnacle in aviation safety recognition. Furthermore, it earned a spot among the top five safest full-service carriers globally.

Etihad also shone at the World Travel Awards Grand Final in Bahrain, securing three prestigious accolades: World’s Leading Airline Customer Experience, World’s Leading Airline Economy Class, and World’s Leading Airline Lounge – Business Class for its Premium Lounge at Zayed International Airport.

Within the region, the airline excelled at the Middle East World Travel Awards, snagging five significant accolades, including Leading Airline for Customer Experience and Economy Class, along with awards for Inflight Entertainment, Business Class Lounge, and Cabin Crew, acknowledging the expertise of its frontline teams.

Industry recognition continued with APEX conferring Five Star Global Airline status to Etihad for 2026, while the AirHelp Score 2025 placed the airline second worldwide, with an outstanding score of 8.07 out of 10 for promptness, customer satisfaction, and claims management. Airline Economics recognized Etihad as the MAE Airline of the Year 2025.

These accolades align with significant investments into service and product enhancements. In 2025, Etihad unveiled the Airbus A321LR, offering lie-flat seating and luxury service on mid-range routes, while its flagship A380 continues to feature The Residence, the sole three-room suite in commercial aviation.

Operating from the Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, the airline ensures a seamless travel experience, bolstered by award-winning lounges and state-of-the-art terminal facilities. Additional acknowledgments from Skytrax, Business Traveller Middle East, APEX Future Travel Experience, and The Design Air highlighted Etihad's exceptional offerings in catering, seat comfort, cabin crew service, and interior design.

Etihad also garnered several awards for its amenity kits and innovations within the cabin, receiving accolades for children’s kits, First Class designs, and enhanced Economy Class comfort products. Its cargo division was similarly recognized for customer-centered and innovative logistics solutions.

In reflecting on this achievement, CEO Antonoaldo Neves remarked that these awards represent the commitment, passion, and teamwork of the entire Etihad family, highlighting the airline’s pledge to provide superior experiences on every journey.
