Emirates Launches Airbus A380 Livery Honoring Grand Slam Tennis

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

Emirates, recognized as the world's leading international airline and a staunch advocate for global tennis, has introduced an eye-catching Airbus A380 livery to commemorate its sponsorship of the four major Grand Slam tournaments.

This airline proudly backs the Australian Open, Roland-Garros, The Championships at Wimbledon, and the US Open, establishing it as a rare brand linked with every Grand Slam event globally.

The newly launched livery showcases tennis-themed artwork, incorporating each Grand Slam's logo enclosed within a tennis ball graphic. The colors mirror the distinct identity of each tournament—summer blue for the Australian Open, the earthy red of Roland-Garros, Wimbledon’s traditional green and purple, and the vibrant yellow and blue hues of the US Open.

Emirates’ Grand Slam A380 will serve international routes, including cities such as Houston and São Paulo, enabling passengers and aviation aficionados worldwide to marvel at the distinctive design. This livery embodies the fundamental values of tennis, including sportsmanship, discipline, and resilience.

This airplane will be a part of Emirates’ fleet for several years, with its inaugural journey featuring the new design having touched down in Melbourne, Australia, coinciding with the launch of the 2026 Australian Open—the first Grand Slam of the year.

Emirates and Global Sports Partnerships

Emirates continues to deepen its ties with sports enthusiasts through an extensive array of sponsorship initiatives. In tennis, the airline is a supporter of significant ATP and WTA events, including the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, alongside all four Grand Slams.

Apart from tennis, Emirates backs major global sporting events and teams across various sports such as horse racing, golf, cricket, sailing, basketball, cycling, and football. The airline’s "Fly Better" branding is prominently displayed on the kits of top football clubs like Arsenal FC, Real Madrid CF, AC Milan, Benfica, and Olympique Lyonnais. Moreover, Emirates holds the title sponsorship for The FA Cup and supports numerous sports initiatives within the UAE.
