Dubai Holding Enhances Global Portfolio with Jumeirah Mallorca Acquisition

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

Dubai Holding, a prominent global investment firm operating in over 30 nations, has officially announced its acquisition of the luxurious five-star Jumeirah Mallorca hotel located in Spain.

This exquisite property will remain under the expert management of Jumeirah, Dubai Holding’s flagship luxury hospitality brand, which has successfully overseen the hotel’s operations for several years.

Nestled on the picturesque northwest coast of Mallorca, Jumeirah Mallorca offers 121 opulent rooms, affording stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the UNESCO-recognized Serra de Tramuntana mountain range. The resort prides itself on its robust commitment to sustainability, boasting the esteemed LEED Platinum certification for its exceptional environmental performance.

Dubai Holding is set to invest in enhancing the offerings at Jumeirah Mallorca, aiming to position it as one of the standout destinations within the Mediterranean for the Jumeirah brand.

This acquisition is a key part of Dubai Holding’s strategy to invest in top-tier assets in vital international markets, contributing to a diversified and robust global portfolio.

Amit Kaushal, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding, remarked that this acquisition reinforces the company’s global hospitality strategy and underlines its commitment to sustainable growth. He highlighted that Jumeirah Mallorca epitomizes the excellence and guest experience associated with both Dubai Holding Hospitality and Jumeirah.

With this latest addition, Dubai Holding Hospitality now boasts a portfolio of 34 hotels and resorts globally, including five Jumeirah properties in Europe. Their hospitality assets also feature renowned brands such as Bvlgari Hotel Dubai and a diverse food and beverage portfolio, with Jumeirah currently operating 29 luxury properties across major global locations.

This acquisition significantly bolsters Jumeirah’s standing in some of Europe’s premier leisure destinations. With established hotels in London and Capri, and the forthcoming Jumeirah Le Richemond Geneva in Switzerland, the brand is paving the way for further expansion in key gateway cities and luxury resort areas, solidifying its status as a leader in the global hospitality sector.
