Divya Khosla Kumar Unveils Mukesh Bhatt's Denial in Savi vs Jigra Clash

Post by : Mina Rahman

Bollywood producer Mukesh Bhatt, known for his work on the film Savi, recently implicated Divya Khosla Kumar in what he described as the publicity-driven Savi vs Jigra controversy during an interview. This comment ignited a wave of reactions online and within the industry, placing Divya in a challenging situation.

In an unexpected response, Divya released a recording of a phone call where she confronted Mukesh about his comments. In the audio, Mukesh categorically refuted any accusations made against her, stating, “I was neither approached by anyone nor did I make those claims. This is something concocted by individuals with their own agendas.” He pointed out the peculiar timing of the negative rumors coinciding with her birthday, suggesting the intent was malicious. Mukesh assured her of his support, remarking that any negativity stems from other sources, and encouraged her to remain resilient and concentrate on her upcoming projects.

Divya took to Instagram to share the recording, expressing her disbelief and frustration regarding the ordeal. She emphasized the importance of revealing the truth, particularly for artists and fans who encounter favoritism, lobbying, and inequities within Bollywood. She asserted that certain factions aim to undermine genuine talent and careers, which should not be tolerated. Divya reiterated her commitment to advocate against such injustices and promote transparency in the film industry.

The issue between Savi and Jigra has roots that trace back to 2024, when Divya accused the producers of Jigra of replicating her film's storyline, specifically the jailbreak element. She further alleged that Jigra's box office figures were manipulated, suggesting ticket purchases in bulk to falsely inflate revenue. Previously, Mukesh had hinted that some industry controversies are fabricated for publicity, yet he praised Alia Bhatt for her integrity, suggesting she avoids resorting to underhanded strategies.

This incident underscores the pervasive challenges and intricacies within Bollywood, showcasing how disputes over creative ideas and public remarks can swiftly escalate. Divya’s choice to disclose the phone call signifies a rising trend among artists to advocate for fairness and accountability within the film sector.
