Dhurandhar is making a remarkable impact at the box office, showcasing an impressive trajectory without any signs of slowing down. Having crossed the prestigious ₹400-crore mark in just 12 days post-release, the film is now making a swift move toward the ₹450-crore milestone, propelled by robust audience interest and ongoing demand.
On December 13, the film posted a remarkable single-day earning of ₹25.50 crore, bringing its overall box office total to ₹437.25 crore. Analysts predict that the next significant milestone may be reached very soon, given its current momentum.
Dhurandhar opened to rave reviews, amassing ₹103 crore during its opening weekend. Earnings were substantial from the start, collecting ₹28 crore on Friday, escalating to ₹32 crore on Saturday, and peaking at ₹43 crore on Sunday — a significant start to a stellar theatrical release.
In contrast to the typical post-weekend decline, collections remained impressively strong. The film earned ₹23.25 crore on Monday, followed by ₹27 crore on Tuesday, with both Wednesday and Thursday maintaining these figures at ₹27 crore each, culminating in a first-week total of ₹207.25 crore.
The second weekend saw Dhurandhar elevate its performance to new heights. Earnings during this period hit ₹32.5 crore on Friday, surged to ₹53 crore on Saturday, and reached ₹58 crore by Sunday, indicating its extraordinary appeal to viewers.
This strong performance continued across the weekdays, with earnings of ₹30.5 crore on Monday, ₹30 crore on Tuesday, and ₹25.50 crore on Wednesday. The cumulative total now stands at ₹437.25 crore, positioning the film amongst the highest-grossing Hindi films in history.
In an unprecedented achievement, Dhurandhar has become the first Hindi film to earn over ₹200 crore in its second week, accomplishing this milestone within just five days under standard conditions without discounted pricing, despite being A-certified.
Industry experts observe that Dhurandhar has created a new standard for consistent box office success, and it is likely to pose serious competition to upcoming major releases in the near future.
