Ranveer Singh’s electrifying action film, Dhurandhar, has taken the box office by storm, surpassing the Rs 150 crore threshold merely five days post-release. Its latest earnings include Rs 26.50 crore on Tuesday, elevating the total to a staggering Rs 152.75 crore and firmly securing its blockbuster status.
The film made a phenomenal entrance, showcasing Singh’s star allure and securing widespread attention. Upon its debut on Friday, Dhurandhar garnered Rs 28 crore, surpassing initial projections. The film’s impressive run continued into the weekend, with Saturday bringing in Rs 32 crore, and Sunday reaching a record-breaking Rs 43 crore, concluding the first three days with an astonishing Rs 103 crore.
What sets Dhurandhar apart is its remarkable hold during the weekdays. Monday saw collections of Rs 23.25 crore, followed by an unforeseen leap on Tuesday, contributing another Rs 26.50 crore, showcasing significant positive word-of-mouth reception. Notably, in several locations, Monday's take surpassed that of Friday’s—a rarity indicating a deep connection with viewers.
Industry insiders and box office analysts have commended the film for its robust performance across urban theatres and smaller locales alike, highlighting its nationwide appeal. The film's blend of captivating narrative, high-octane action, and Ranveer Singh’s compelling performance has been identified as crucial drivers behind its success.
Taran Adarsh, a prominent trade analyst, noted that Dhurandhar’s exceptional performance suggests it is poised for a lengthy theatrical run. Its broad reach has captivated audiences regionally, with numerous viewers returning to enjoy the film again along with strong recommendations propelling its box office rise.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the ensemble cast of Dhurandhar includes notable actors such as Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
