Aditya Dhar’s gripping spy thriller Dhurandhar continues to impress at the box office, despite a minor decline in earnings on its third Friday. While it recorded its lowest earnings for a single day to date, the overall performance indicates a robust hold in theaters.
On Day 15, the movie amassed ₹22.50 crore net in India, with its global gross nearing ₹35 crore for the day. These figures indicate an ongoing strong interest from audiences as the film confidently heads into its third weekend.
The Ranveer Singh-starring film has achieved ₹483 crore net at the domestic box office after two successful weeks, translating to approximately ₹579.50 crore gross in India. With anticipated rises in weekend attendance, it could soon surpass the ₹500 crore net threshold, a milestone reached by only a select few Hindi films.
Industry experts suggest that the film’s consistent performance during weekdays highlights positive word-of-mouth and repeat viewership, appealing to audiences in both multiplexes and mainstream cinemas.
Internationally, Dhurandhar continues to thrive, even with fresh competition from Hollywood's Avatar: Fire and Ash. Its overseas earnings now exceed $18 million, significantly bolstering its overall financial success.
Consequently, Dhurandhar’s total worldwide collection stands at approximately ₹745 crore, close to the ₹800 crore mark. A strong weekend surge could allow the film to reach this milestone by its 16th day in theaters.
With its latest figures, Dhurandhar has positioned itself among the top 10 highest-grossing Hindi films of all time, outpacing several renowned blockbusters. Market analysts predict it may soon surpass films like PK, Chhaava, and Stree 2 if the current trend continues.
Given its consistent showing, the film is emerging as a serious contender for the prestigious ₹1000 crore worldwide club, potentially ranking among the greatest successes in Indian cinema history.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian intelligence operative navigating a perilous undercover mission. The cast also includes Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan, with standout performances eagerly praised by viewers.
