Dhurandhar Box Office: Ranveer Singh's Film Approaches Rs 600 Crore

Post by : Mina Rahman

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is shattering records at the Indian box office, rapidly closing in on the coveted Rs 600 crore milestone. After a stellar 17-day run, the film generated approximately Rs 16 crore on its 18th day (December 22), bringing its total domestic earnings to roughly Rs 571.75 crore, as per trade tracker Sacnilk.

Under the direction of Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar has ascended to become one of India’s highest-grossing films ever. It recently surpassed Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (Rs 553 crore) to secure the 10th position among the leading domestic net earners. Additionally, it has outdone the total collections of significant 2024 releases like Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 (Rs 525 crore) and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan (Rs 543 crore). Remarkably, Dhurandhar has achieved these numbers without the backing of dubbed versions, which aided in elevating the earnings of films like Pathaan and Animal.

The film opened with a robust weekend box office haul, earning Rs 103 crore initially, with Rs 28 crore on Friday, Rs 32 crore on Saturday, and Rs 43 crore on Sunday. The momentum persisted through the weekdays, bringing in Rs 23.25 crore on Monday and Rs 27 crore on Tuesday, surpassing Rs 150 crore in just five days. By the end of the first week, collections reached Rs 207.25 crore with Rs 27 crore on both Wednesday and Thursday.

The second weekend saw an even stronger showing, with earnings of Rs 53 crore on Saturday and Rs 58 crore on Sunday. The weekdays maintained solid revenues—Rs 30.5 crore on Monday, Rs 30 crore on Tuesday, Rs 25.5 crore on Wednesday, and Rs 23 crore on Thursday; by December 18, the cumulative total stood at Rs 555.75 crore.

The third weekend added Rs 22.5 crore on Friday, Rs 34.25 crore on Saturday, and Rs 38.5 crore on Sunday. Although the third Monday brought a slight decrease with Rs 16 crore, the film remains a blockbuster, accumulating domestic profits of Rs 571.75 crore.

Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh, supported by a formidable cast including Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. The movie’s engaging action, strong performances, and exciting plot have resonated with audiences throughout India.

Building on its great success, the producers have announced a sequel set to premiere on March 19, 2026. With such impressive box office returns, Dhurandhar is likely to join the prestigious Rs 600 crore club, further establishing Ranveer Singh as a top superstar in Bollywood.
