Ranveer Singh’s action-packed film Dhurandhar is setting new standards at the box office with an outstanding theatrical run. After just two weeks in cinemas, it has grossed an impressive Rs 460.25 crore, securing its status as one of the top Bollywood blockbusters in recent history. With consistent daily earnings, the film is on its way to achieving the Rs 500 crore milestone.
Debuting on December 5, Dhurandhar received a strong initial response across India, bolstered by significant advance bookings, festive crowds, and favorable audience reactions. It achieved a remarkable Rs 103 crore during its opening weekend, with collections of Rs 28 crore on Friday, Rs 32 crore on Saturday, and peaking with Rs 43 crore on Sunday.
This momentum continued into the weekdays, showcasing the film’s impressive box office hold. On Monday, it took in Rs 23.25 crore, followed by Rs 27 crore on Tuesday. The week concluded with Rs 27 crore collections on both Wednesday and Thursday, bringing the first-week total to an impressive Rs 207.25 crore.
The performance during the second week was even more remarkable, solidifying the film's blockbuster reputation. It earned Rs 32.5 crore on Friday, followed by a significant surge over the weekend with Rs 53 crore on Saturday and Rs 58 crore on Sunday. The strong weekday earnings included Rs 30.5 crore on Monday, Rs 30 crore on Tuesday, Rs 25.5 crore on Wednesday, and Rs 23 crore on Thursday, culminating in a total of Rs 460.25 crore in just 14 days.
Industry analysts emphasize that the film surpassed its entire first-week total in the first six days of the second week, a remarkable achievement for contemporary Bollywood. The everyday earnings have remained above Rs 24 crore for nearly two weeks, indicating robust audience enthusiasm and repeat viewings.
Helmed by director Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar boasts an impressive cast, including Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. The film’s compelling storyline, grand action sequences, and patriotic themes have strongly resonated with audiences in both multiplexes and single screens.
With its box office momentum continuing unabated, Dhurandhar is on track to surpass the Rs 500 crore mark soon. The filmmakers have already announced a sequel set to release on March 19, 2026, enhancing the future of the franchise.
