Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, is proving to be a box office sensation. Released on November 28, the romantic drama has maintained steady momentum even in its second week, despite facing fierce competition from Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar.
Colour Yellow Movies, the film’s production house, recently shared the latest box office figures, revealing that Tere Ishk Mein has now amassed ₹152.01 crore worldwide. Domestically, the film has crossed the ₹100 crore mark, with a net collection of ₹107.5 crore in India. On day 14, it added ₹35 lakh, while the highest single-day collection of ₹19 crore was achieved on its first Sunday.
Although Dhurandhar set the box office on fire with ₹270 crore globally, Tere Ishk Mein has successfully held its ground, thanks to strong word-of-mouth and Dhanush-Kriti’s intense performances.
The film follows the long-spanning love story of Shankar (Dhanush) and Mukti (Kriti Sanon), who first meet at Delhi University. After Mukti breaks up with him and humiliates him over his modest upbringing, Shankar focuses on cracking the UPSC exams. Years later, their paths cross again, forming the heart of the story. Prakash Raj, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, and Vineet Kumar Singh play key supporting roles.
