The highly awaited sequel, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna, has encountered a delay. Initially set to debut on December 5, the film’s release has been pushed back due to financial challenges. The production team is currently addressing these issues, with a possible new release date of December 12 in view.
This setback follows legal actions from financiers, prompting experienced figures in the industry to step in for mediation. Positive developments in discussions are reported, with an official release announcement expected shortly. Additionally, some distributors are eyeing a December 24 release to take advantage of the Christmas audience.
Akhanda 2 brings Balakrishna back together with director Boyapati Sreenu, alongside notable actors Samyuktha Menon and Aadhi Pinisetty. Produced on a grand scale by Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta, and Ishan Saksena under 14 Reels Plus and IVY Entertainment, the film is one of the most anticipated entries of the season.
Following the triumph of Balakrishna's recent feature, Daaku Maharaj, enthusiasm for the return of his iconic character is at an all-time high, as fans look forward to this blockbuster experience.
