The romantic-comedy De De Pyaar De 2, featuring Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh, continues to perform well at the box office since its launch on November 14. Directed by Anshul Sharma, the film is now making strides towards the ₹50-crore milestone, thanks to its steady weekday showings.

Preliminary reports from the industry highlight that the film earned ₹3.50 crore on its sixth day (November 19), bringing its total domestic earnings to ₹47.75 crore. The first Wednesday showcased an overall theatre occupancy of 8.84 percent, with the highest attendance during night shows at 12.37 percent, followed by evening screenings at 8.76 percent, afternoon at 8.05 percent, and morning shows at a quieter 6.19 percent.

Alongside Devgn, the film stars R Madhavan, Ishita Dutta, Meezaan Jaffrey, Javed Jaffrey, and Gautami Kapoor. The soundtrack features compositions by Yo Yo Honey Singh, Jaani, Aditya Dev–Payal Dev, Avvy Sra, and Sagar Bhatia, with lyrics from prominent writers including Kumaar and Karan Aujla.

R Madhavan, reflecting on his collaboration with Ajay Devgn, noted that there was an absence of competition during their time on set. He emphasized that Ajay’s commitment to the storytelling instead of individual accolades fosters a cooperative atmosphere, expressing that Ajay’s calm demeanor provided a supportive environment that empowered the cast.

Given its consistent weekday performance, De De Pyaar De 2 is poised to exceed the ₹50-crore mark shortly. The film's forthcoming weekend box office activity will be pivotal in determining its ability to sustain this upward trend into the following week.
