Shilpa Shetty’s Mother Sunanda Hospitalised in Mumbai

Shilpa Shetty’s Mother Sunanda Hospitalised in Mumbai

Post by : Mina Rahman

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty was seen arriving at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Thursday after her mother, Sunanda Shetty, was admitted following age-related medical issues. Shilpa appeared concerned as she entered the hospital, accompanied by close family members.

Family sources revealed that Sunanda’s condition had worsened on Wednesday night, prompting immediate medical attention. Doctors have reportedly kept her under observation, and her condition is said to be stable at the moment.

Sunanda’s hospitalisation comes at a time when Shilpa recently made headlines for withdrawing her request to travel abroad. This move came after the Bombay High Court declined to suspend the Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against her and her husband, Raj Kundra, in an alleged ₹60-crore cheating case.

The court had previously ruled that the couple’s request to lift travel restrictions would only be considered if they paid the disputed ₹60 crore amount. The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police had issued the LOC, restricting their international movement.

Shilpa’s lawyer later informed the court that the actress would not pursue foreign travel for now, choosing instead to focus on family priorities.

Family and Festivities

Just days before her mother’s health concerns surfaced, Shilpa had shared a glimpse of her Diwali celebrations with her sister Shamita Shetty and husband Raj Kundra. The family looked radiant in festive attire, surrounded by lights, laughter, and decorations.

Fans, who had earlier flooded her social media with festive wishes, are now sending heartfelt prayers for Sunanda Shetty’s recovery.

Career and Public Image

Shilpa Shetty continues to juggle her professional life and personal responsibilities gracefully. She was last seen as a judge on the dance reality show ‘Super Dancer Chapter 5’, where she impressed audiences with her charm and wit.

Raj Kundra, on the other hand, recently appeared as a contestant on the reality show ‘The Traitors’, marking a new chapter in his media career.

Beyond television, Shilpa remains active in fitness, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy, promoting wellness and yoga through her social media and public appearances.

Sunanda Shetty has long been regarded as a pillar of strength in Shilpa’s life. She has accompanied her daughter to several industry events and has often been described as her confidante and guide. Despite the challenges the family has faced over the years, they have consistently projected unity and resilience.

As of Thursday evening, hospital insiders reported that Sunanda’s condition was improving, though she would remain under medical supervision for a few more days. The Shetty family has requested privacy during this period.

Fans and well-wishers across social media have flooded Shilpa’s latest posts with messages of love and prayers, reflecting the deep admiration the actress enjoys among her audience.
