Post by : Shakul

In the Lebap Region, farmers are optimistic about this year's harvest, with large-scale agricultural endeavors in full swing. The spotlight is on crucial crops such as wheat, onions, and various vegetables essential for local consumption and enhancing the national supply.

As part of its strategic agricultural plans for 2026, spring wheat has been sown across an impressive 1,400 hectares, forecasted to yield roughly 19,600 tons. Preliminary preparations and the selection of high-quality seeds tailored to the regional soil and climate have significantly contributed to the health of the crops.

Implementing modern farming techniques, farmers are ensuring timely irrigation, inter-row cultivation, and judicious use of organic and mineral fertilizers. These practices are enhancing crop quality while simultaneously boosting overall yield. The objective is to attain high productivity rates per hectare through meticulous farming practices.

Various districts within the region are making noteworthy contributions to the total agricultural production. The Chardjow district, for instance, has dedicated a substantial area to crop cultivation, with thousands of tons of produce anticipated. Meanwhile, districts like Danev, Sayat, and Kerki are also witnessing significant agricultural advancements marked by steady progress in crop management.

Onion cultivation, in addition to wheat, is receiving considerable attention this season, with approximately 900 hectares allocated to spring onions and an anticipated yield of around 22,500 tons. Farmers are diligently caring for these crops, leading to vibrant growth across their fields.

Districts such as Dovletli and Chardjow are at the forefront of onion production, with extensive cultivation and ambitious yield targets set. The farmers’ organized efforts have begun to yield positive results, showcasing their commitment to agriculture.

As the harvest period approaches, the fields of wheat, onions, and vegetables exhibit encouraging indicators of a prosperous yield. The tireless work from the farmers reflects their dedication to agriculture, with the region poised to achieve its production goals and enjoy a bountiful harvest.
