Unsurprisingly, the spotlight at the 2026 Latin Grammy Awards firmly belonged to Bad Bunny. The celebrated Puerto Rican artist won Album of the Year for his groundbreaking album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, dedicating his achievement to his family and Puerto Rico: “Puerto Rico, I love you, thank you.”

Born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, he kicked off the evening by securing the Música Urbana Album award as the first accolade of the night. His next visit to the stage was to accept the Música Urbana Song award for “DTmF,” followed by a performance alongside Chuwi for “Weltita.” True to his distinctive style, Bad Bunny remarked, “I never practice my speeches.”

While he was the headliner, the evening also recognized numerous other talented artists. The Song of the Year award went to Karol G, Andrés Jael Correa Ríos, and Édgar Barrera for Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido, while Record of the Year was awarded to Alejandro Sanz for ¿Y Ahora Qué?. Best New Artist went to Paloma Morphy, Traditional Tropical Album was snagged by Gloria Estefan for Raíces, and Christian Nodal received the Ranchero/Mariachi Album award for ¿Quién + Como Yo?.

The 26th annual Latin Grammys, broadcast live from Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena, dazzled audiences with high-impact performances. An opening set featuring Santana and Maluma performing Oye Como Va captivated viewers, while Raphael delivered a heartfelt performance, including Qué Sabe Nadie. The couple Karol G and Marco Antonio Solís took the stage with a duet of Coleccionando Heridas, and Grupo Frontera and Fuerza Regida revved up the crowd with tracks like Me Jalo and Marlboro Rojo. Contemporary talents including Rauw Alejandro, Elena Rose, Danny Lux, Kakalo, and Ivan Cornejo showcased their innovative Latin styles, while Carín León and Kacey Musgraves enchanted with their rendition of Ahí Estabas Tú and Lost in Translation.

Before the televised event commenced, the Premiere Ceremony awarded several honors for the night. Bad Bunny's Voy A Llevarte Pa Pr earned the Reggaeton Performance title, while Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso led the pack with five accolades, including Alternative Music Album and Pop Song.

Hosted by Maluma and Roselyn Sánchez, the event unfolded with a charismatic energy across its three-hour airtime. Fans were treated to a vibrant showcase, combining storied icons with rising newcomers, highlighting the richness and diversity within the Latin music industry. The 2026 Latin Grammys not only solidified Bad Bunny’s stature but also embraced a kaleidoscope of talent across the Latin music scene.
