The Endowment and Minors’ Trust Foundation of Dubai, commonly known as Awqaf Dubai, has allocated AED 74.7 million in returns from endowment investments for 2025 to key government and semi-government entities.
This funding benefits nine organisations, such as the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD), the Community Development Authority (CDA), the Dubai Club for People of Determination, the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), and the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC), among others.
The funds are primarily directed towards crucial sectors like healthcare, education, and social welfare, supporting initiatives in medical research, educational programmes, care for People of Determination, and various humanitarian efforts across Dubai.
Awqaf Dubai is committed to managing and investing endowment assets following leading institutional practices. The foundation upholds robust governance and investment standards that ensure sustainable returns and long-term advantages for the beneficiaries.
Officials noted that this systematic framework guarantees efficient management of endowment assets, maximizing their social impact and providing ongoing financial support for sanctioned community and development projects.
His Excellency Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary General of Awqaf Dubai, stated that the foundation enhances the endowment ecosystem by refining investment performance and operational efficiency.
He emphasized that these endowments exemplify a strong model of community collaboration, sustaining healthcare, educational, social welfare, and empowerment initiatives for People of Determination.
Additionally, Awqaf Dubai operates under a governance-focused, transparent, and sustainable approach, enabling beneficiary organisations to effectively continue their humanitarian and social missions.
The foundation also reinforced its commitment to working with government and semi-government bodies to broaden endowment-driven development projects, fostering a culture of sustainable philanthropy and supporting Dubai's long-term social and economic objectives.
