Armaan Malik Delays Concert in Delhi Following Red Fort Blast

Post by : Mina Rahman

Singer Armaan Malik has decided to postpone his eagerly awaited concert in Delhi, originally set for November 15, due to the devastating blast near the Red Fort on November 10. This tragic event, marked by a car explosion, resulted in the loss of at least 12 lives and left numerous individuals injured, prompting event organisers in the NCR area to heighten safety considerations.

In an announcement made on Instagram, Malik conveyed his deep regret and concern for his fans. “Delhi, I am saddened to inform you that my concert on November 15th is postponed due to recent tragic events. I will provide updates soon,” he stated. His message demonstrated empathy for the victims and a strong commitment to ensuring public safety.

Alongside his announcement, Armaan shared an official message indicating that the Aiiidon Malik Live in Delhi performance at Nexus Select Citywalk would not proceed as planned. The communication stressed that the decision was made with careful consideration for the safety of fans, staff, artists, and crew members. It also assured that a new date would be forthcoming, with previously purchased tickets via BookMyShow remaining valid for the rescheduled event.

The organisers emphasized that this decision was crucial considering the severity of the incident and out of respect for the victims and their families. They kindly urged attendees to prioritize safety and adhere to precautions as authorities continue their investigations regarding the blast.

Actor Piyush Mishra also announced the cancellation of his Gurugram performance, which was intended for November 15, in light of the same tragic event. In a heartfelt Instagram message, he remarked that the show would be postponed until safety could be guaranteed. “Our Gurugram show on November 15 is cancelled for now, following the tragic incident at the Red Fort, Delhi. We stand with the city during this dark time and will reveal a new date once security measures are satisfactory,” he stated, concluding with the patriotic sentiment, “Inklaab Zindabad, Jai Hind.”

Officials have indicated that the November 10 blast at the Red Fort was a targeted terror attack involving a vehicle explosion near one of the capital's busiest locales. The aftermath has been severe, leading to multiple casualties and widespread alarm. Investigations are ongoing, with heightened security measures activated in public spaces, markets, and venues throughout the region.

Consequently, several public events in the Delhi-NCR area are either being postponed or cancelled. Event organisers are collaborating closely with local authorities to ensure adherence to safety protocols and to reassess the viability of upcoming events.

For fans of Armaan Malik, this postponement is undoubtedly disappointing, yet many have shown understanding given the circumstances. The singer’s statement has resonated widely, with many supporters applauding his focus on safety and community support.

Both Armaan Malik and Piyush Mishra are expected to announce new dates for their respective shows as security agencies provide further updates. In the meantime, the entertainment community remains united with the people of Delhi as the city copes with the loss of lives and the repercussions of this tragic event.
