Today, Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi, the Imam of the Prophet’s Mosque, delivered the Arafah sermon at Namirah Mosque, attended by pilgrims on Hajj and dignitaries.
In his address, Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi underscored that Hajj stands as a pivotal pillar of Islam, embodying the essence of monotheism and absolute submission to Allah's will. He pointed out that the pilgrimage serves as a vital avenue for fostering unity, cooperation, and mutual respect among Muslims worldwide.
He emphasized the importance of exhibiting good character during Hajj, promoting honesty, steering clear of sinful behavior, and avoiding disputes or sectarian rhetoric. The Imam also reminded attendees to adhere to rules of conduct, maintain composure, and respect crowd management for everyone's safety.
The sermon elaborated on fundamental Islamic teachings, stressing the significance of fearing Allah and adhering to His guidance. Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi detailed the correct order of the Hajj rituals and called on pilgrims to uphold peace and order throughout their spiritual journey.
Concluding his sermon, he prayed for the acceptance of the pilgrims’ Hajj, the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and ongoing success in the custodianship of the Two Holy Mosques by the Saudi leadership.
Post-sermon, the gathered pilgrims performed the Dhuhr and Asr prayers in a shortened format, in keeping with Sunnah practices.
